Description

An exceptional limited-production red wine, crafted from a meticulous manual selection of Primitivo grapes, aged in French oak barriques for 6 months, followed by further refinement in the bottle. It represents the utmost expression of the grape variety and our terroir, displaying an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals hints of ripe red fruit, accompanied by notes of coffee and tobacco toasting. A full-bodied wine with a pronounced yet velvety tannin.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Bush-trained (Alberello) and/or espalier
PRODUCTION AREA: Faggiano, Salento – Puglia – Italy
HARVEST TIME: Last decade of August
HARVEST METHOD: Manual
WINEMAKING: Red fermentation with thermo-conditioning of the fermentative process
AGING: 4 months in French oak barriques, medium toasting
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: Ruby red color with garnet nuances, it presents an intense and complex aroma of ripe red pulp fruits (cherry, raspberry, blackberry) in a balanced fusion with subtle toasty notes of wood. The taste is dry, warm, soft, tannic, and persistent, fully reminiscent of the olfactory sensations.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: Excellent with grilled meats, hard cheeses. Ideal with chestnuts.
